There is a feeling that insists on roaming amongst us that “everything is going to be alright”, a feeling of “I’m doing my part”, but are you really? What part is that? What do you do?
Oh, so you live, work, pay taxes, well, good for you. But know this: that won’t change most people’s reality. People are inebriated by an illusion, chained to conformity. We have to realize that we are all the same and deserve to be treated as such – social classes and famous brands don’t change who I am, and they don’t change who you are. Sitting around feeling sorry for those who can’t have a job, or live in poor areas isn’t enough. We’ll soon find out that knowledge unites us and leads to more knowledge, in the same way kindness does.
This isn’t about creating a utopic, perfect life, but only the desire of a dignified life. It is like the cave myth, told by Plato many years ago, in which the only exit from ignorance is education. Education works so that Man might live for other, instead of this continuous inertia of their won reality.
